Fellow student Sana beaming with excitement was equally pleased commenting, “I am still in shock, I worked so hard and I am so pleased with what I have achieved.” I’m coming to New Charter Academy 6th Form to study maths, biology, chemistry, and business.
Principal David Shaw praised the efforts of his students this morning and said:
“It is great to see so many of our young people achieve strong results across the majority of their subjects and achieve the results they require to enrol at Sixth Form or College. Overall, year 11 students have achieved results that were a third of a grade higher than last year.
A large number of individual subjects studied by students have achieved excellent results, that are in line with or much better than national performance for that subject, which is a tremendous achievement for the students and staff involved.”
Head of Year 11 Claire Cobain, who led the team that supported the students throughout their final year at the academy, said; “It is really great to see so many of our young people achieving the results that they have worked so hard for and I am proud of what they have achieved.”
